“We were really lucky with the weather. We only hiked part of the PR1 (as the rest of it is shut). It was quite busy with lots of tourists. The PR3 trail we went on after was much quieter and the scenery was beautiful. Watching the sunrise at pick do ariero was amazing, good transport and all in all lovely trip that was worth the money.”

“The forest and scenery is beautiful! Personally I preferred the 25 Fontes and Risco waterfalls but the Caldeirão Verde waterfall is still pretty (just felt more crowded). If you are a bit anxious about heights just be mindful the last little stretch might make you a bit nervous (worth pushing through though). When it gets busy the paths are tight so letting people past is tricky. Luis was awesome at giving us insights to from the hike.”

“Our guide, Marco, was wonderful. He picked us up on time and gave lots of information about the levadas and flora and fauna. Caution: The walk is far more challenging than other reviews would lead one to believe. I cannot fault Marco or the experience at all but it was almost too much for me and took about 6 1/2 hours total. If you don't have very good balance or much experience with rough terrain choose an easier walk. Marco was very helpful to me when I struggled and kept emphasizing that we could take all the time we needed.”

Do not book with any other companies. I unfortunately had two other companies cancel for other hikes, both within days of when I was scheduled. Nico was able to get me in for another custom hike which was equally as beautiful. His guides know all of the secrets to the hikes I would have never know, as in different routes, not as busy of hikes, etc. Highly recommended them!”
