On April 27. 2023 on Funchal Madera we went in a convoy of 5 jeeps. 3 were fine having places for one passenger in front, three were in the next row and 2 seats in the back facing each other. However, there were 2 jeeps (alas one of ours) that had the seating for one in the front seat, 3 in the second and then had hard benches facing each other in the back where they stuffed 4 people, 2 on each side, without anything to hold onto seating on these hard benches. The driver of another jeep that was not for us, told us to come with him, which consisted of a group of Carnival Cruisers, and all much larger than we are. They did not want 2 others from their ship that were way larger even than they were with them on their excursion. They also had a ship leaving around 3pm so we had to cut the tour short.
